This web page is about EQUALITY nothing more nothing less. The Charter of Rights and Freedoms gives us all equality. The Charter makes it very clear that there is to be no discrimination based on several characteristics including but not limited to race, religion and sex.

The United Nations (Commission on the Status of Women, 1993) defines violence against women as:

"…any act of gender-based violence that results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering to women, including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of liberty whether occurring in public or private life."

Follow up to "Close Enough"

You might think that a women’s group who advocates the end of violence against women might want to keep themselves distanced from a police Chief who commits the crime of fraud but wait they have him as a speaker at their conference on abuse against women.

Close enough will do for Hamilton Police Services and for the rest of Ontario too!

So apparently in today’s Hamilton Spectator not only did our finest make one mistake they made at least two. Remember that little incident on May 4 2010 when the police assaulted and arrested the innocent immigrant from Myanmar, well the ball they dropped there continued to bounce on down the road and into another innocent victim’s apartment.
