Hi Directors, Volunteers and Special Friends:
Our 4th Bruce Duncan Memorial Lecture of the season promises to be exceptional. Nick Eyles, Professor of Geology at the University of Toronto will speak to us about the Formation of the Niagara Escarpment.
Nick is a world renowned geologist especially noted for his prime research in glacial sedimentology.
Beyond his many publications he has been an advisor and participant with CBC's popular series 'Geologic Journey' and has acted as host of 'Geological Journey of the World', a five part 'Nature of Things' series with David Suzuki.
Nick is very supportive of the efforts the Giant's Rib is making to increase the awareness of the need to protect the Niagara Escarpment. I am certain that you will enjoy his presentation and to have the opportunity to meet and speak with him personally.
