We are sponsoring the launch of the new Canadian novel, The Beautiful West & The Beloved of God, by Michael Springate at the Homegrown Hamilton, 27 King William Street, at 3 pm on Saturday, November 8, 2014. The themes of the novel, which takes place in Montreal and Cairo, are Islamophobia and Canadian security certificates. It also deals with the so-called "war on terror", CSIS, and, indirectly, Palestine. All are welcome. The admission is free. The Homegrown Hamilton is a fully-accessible and licenced pub/restaurant, close to HSR buses downtown, with on-street parking and a (paid) parking lot directly across the street. The author will read a passage from the book, answer questions, and autograph copies.
