Subject: Memorial Service for Dr. Tajudeen Abdul-Raheem, Deputy Director, UN Millennium Campaign


On 25 May 2009, the world lost a passionate campaigner for the Millennium Development Goals and the people of Africa. Dr. Tajudeen Abdul-Raheem, Deputy Director for Africa for the United Nations Millennium Campaign, passed away in a fatal car accident in Nairobi. Taju, as he was affectionately known, was amongst Africa's foremost voices for pan Africanism and social justice, both inside and outside the continent.

The Millennium Campaign along with its partners are co-hosting a memorial service for Taju. Please join us as we pay tribute to this African hero.
