OIG finds serious faults in the distribution of HAART medicines in Puerto Rico

1. The OIG found medicines expired six and eight years ago.
2. Medicines were being distributed by unprepared personnel.
3. Refunds could have been made if the amounts of medicines left over had been reported.
4. HIV/AIDS patients were being treated with expired medicines.
