Performances by:

David Hickey Saturday
Bsed in Mount Hope, Ontario, Crystal Journey and David Hickey performs with Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls, 10-15 of them. Each produces a pure note or tone, the purest there is. They are accompanied by a Vibraphone, Santoor and 8-18 Paiste Planet, Symphonic and Sound Creation Gongs. Every gong features a strong fundamental note tuned to represent a natural harmonic series based on the orbital properties of the Sun, the Earth, the Moon and the other planets. It's like having a full orchestra.

Crystal Journey has been touring Canada and the US coast to coast for the past ten years and has performed over 1000 shows. Crystal Journey has also released 9 CDs to date. I have played the Bowls and Gongs accompanied by various musicians as well as with the Winnipeg Chamber Orchestra in June of 2006.

As 2013 unfolds, I am looking forward to taking my music to ever increasing numbers, creating conscious awareness across Canada and the Globe with a message of unity and peace. The intent of the performance is to create soothing, meditative and healing music. Each one of my performances is completely improvised, and unique. The music attracts a full range of listeners.

Perpetual Peace Project  Saturday

Generating Harmony through the Arts

The concept behind the Perpetual Peace Project is to create a musical flow of energy that never stops. The aim of the project is to create lasting peace and harmony on Earth. A group of artists from the Niagara region is working on launching the Perpetual Peace Project in Niagara Falls in the summer of 2012. We believe that through co-operation we can create Peace On Earth.

Green Being Green looks at some of the glaring flaws in today's world, and the different levels of awareness around them. Ultimately, even the man carrying the world on his shoulders has to share the load. This is an exciting time to be alive, amidst a shifting global consciousness and spiritual awakening. Besides celebrating the diversity around us, the call to real action makes life meaningful, and culminates in joyful laughter.

Danny Brooks Sun 5pm

Danny Brooks 'Texassippi Soul Man', now settled in Llano Texas has mixed the best of both Texas and Mississippi and calls it 'Texassippi'. He grew up on Hank Williams, Solomon Burke, Taj Mahal, John Lee Hooker and the Allman Brothers, Blind Boys of Alabama, and Rev. Jumpin' Jim Jericho. Older brother Greg's recordings of Solomon Burke, Joe Tex, Bobby Blue Bland and Sam Cooke added to the blend.
Years ago I had the privilege of singing one night with Brownie McGhee (story on my website) and he told me "Son 'fo a white boy, you sho' 'nuff have a suntan on the inside". Several years back after my 7th cd, Mitch Lopate introduced me to Johnny Sandlin, legendary Capricorn Records producer, who brought me down to Decatur Alabama to record 'No Easy Way Out' with the Muscle Shoals musicians...David Hood, Spooner Oldham, Scott Boyer, Kelvin Holly, Bill Stewart, Bonnie Bramlett, Kevin McKendree, James Pennebaker, The Muscle Shoals Horns and rounding it out with Carla Russell and Tina Swindell. It was a thrilling experience and a highlight in my career. It is especially sweet as I have been given a new lease on life and my music reflects the conflict/resolution of live liven hard and fast and been given another chance to make something of it.
Life is precious and we need to make the best of what we have left of it!

'Listening to Danny Brooks is like driving out of Memphis, TN on a sunny Saturdaymorning into the Mississippi Delta listening to WDIA. It's one of those things where time stands still. A dash of Eddie Hinton, Solomon Burke, Rev. James Cleveland and Howlin' Wolf are all ingredients in Danny's soulful musical stew'. states Greg Martin of the Kentucky Headhunters. Maybe Greg Quill, noted musician and arts writer for the Toronto Star, sums it up the best: 'This is Roots music of great distinction.'

Thank you Linda and looking forward to ‘rocking the house’!

God bless!

Miracles for Breakfast / John Wiley & Sons
Best Sellers list - Motivational genre...

Danny Brooks is a consummate professional who truly believes the least he can do for his audience is to give his best. And it shows! For the past five years, everywhere Brooks has performed, he has been asked back, due to his attitude of "give 'em everything you got and then some".

Hamilton’s own Christopher Clause Sun 6:40pm

Christopher will perform with his band and add a medley of Peace songs performed in collaboration with some Incredibly Talented  musicians adding drummers, dancers, and audience leading the festival to a great finale!  All are invited to bring their hand drums and join in!

Over the last seven years, Christopher Clause raised thousands of dollars with his series of Beatles tributes to help run Hamilton Out of the Cold out of James Street Baptist Church. Last year he decided to focus on promoting original music – from himself and from friends but with every holiday season, it seems John Lennon and the Beatles come to mind. Given his ‘Imagine Peace’ tributes were some of the most popular and even received the thumbs up from Yoko Ono herself,

With lofty goals not unlike his Beatles heroes, Clause has spearheaded a new charitable organization. While living from gig to gig, most musicians struggle to get their art to the world without any financial stability and when emergencies or illness arise, there is little help.
Clause hopes FERMATA, or ForEver Respecting Musicians And Their Art, will be able to help some of those local musicians in time of need.

For years we have been raising money to pay for the heat and hydro so that Out of the Cold [could run], but I truly wanted to expand our fundraising to go beyond paying for utilities,” notes Clause. “I wanted to take care of people directly and to bless musicians in our city. At present any money that is collected will be held in trust at James Street for musicians who live in the city who are in need. As specific requests come in, we will deal with them on an individual basis.

Abram Bergen
I'm happy to organize a Cargo Bike Roll Call for Hamilton for the Fix Our World Festival. Anyone and everyone in Hamilton with a cargo bike, cargo trike or bicycle/trailer combination is invited to show up on Sunday Sept 15 to meet, greet and share the wonderful utility of cargo bikes and biking. Those of us who have a cargo bike of some sort--bicycle trailer (kid trailer or cargo trailer), longtail, long john, bakfiets, newspaper/butcher/personal delivery bike, or cargo trike--know how wonderful these human-powered vehicles are. Let's meet one another and share our cargo bikes, stories, accomplishments, and dreams with each other and with other Hamiltonians. If we can inspire more people to add a cargo bike, trike or trailer to their lives, we can make a direct and significant impact on fossil fuel use, carbon emissions, safe streets (incl. congestion, parking, road wear, pedestrian & cycling infrastructure), as well as the health of ourselves and our communities.

CJ CREATIVE PRODUCTIONS INC.

will be selling The Cycling Route Book, Book 1 Revised for $10.00 and cycling accessories.

Waste Watchers is a program dedicated to reducing waste. We run in school workshops, host cleanup events and attend events and festivals in an effort to reduce the events waste going to landfill.

We would like to attend the Fix Our World Festival with an interactive display to teach people how to sort their waste correctly (into recycling, compost and garbage) as well as run a waste sorting station for the event - so any waste generated (food waste for example) can be properly sorted.

Our display would include a table with a waste sorting activity, display boards, etc and beside that a waste sorting area for the events waste...
