Fix Our World @ Earth Day Hamilton RBG Eco Festival June 2013

We had a fantastic 3 days at Earth Day Hamilton RBG  Eco Festival educating, motivating and empowering youth -  grades 4, 5, 6 how they can help save our Oceans from Plastic Waste. https://plus.google.com/u/1/photos/109139821660216958175/albums/589...

Day 3 Dayna and I were excited to Volunteer our skills by taking on a school class each to lead throughout the days programming.
We had so much fun with our groups, and learned something ourselves as well.

My group did a Hike and learned about all kinds of species of plants, trees, birds, turtles, and how to respect all of nature and be careful where you tread.  They performed in a play that taught them how important trees are to all living things!,

As a special treat we ate our lunch in the Nature Playground and had a blast running, jumping, climbing and socializing outdoors in the beautiful sun, then we continued on and learned about wasting water,  endangered species and lastly we were treated to participate in a live Birds of Prey presentation!

I have to say that Dayna and I had the time of our lives and we had the BEST TEAM of youths you could ask for!
Fix Our World is happy to support Earth Day Hamilton.  Check out their various programs and Initiatives in our community.
