SUMMARY:PICKET the JNF dinner!
DESCRIPTION:Registered as an official Canadian charity, the Jewish Nat
 ional Fund (JNF) is a charity like no other.  Funded by private, tax-d
 eductible, donations, it is in fact the official arm of the Israeli go
 vernment Land Authority. The JNF is based on the removal and permanent
  exclusion of all non-Jews from all Israeli-controlled land.  The JNF 
 is one of the pillars of the apartheid regime in Israel. It was set up
  in 1901 to acquire Palestinian land by hook or by crook and lease it,
  in turn, exclusively to Jews. It now outrightly owns a total of 13 % 
 of all land in Israel and partly controls 93%. Two of its most infamou
 s projects are Canada Park near Jerusalem, which was built over the ru
 ins of three Palestinian villages. The villagers were ethnically-clean
 sed in 1967, immediately following the Six Day War, and made to watch 
 the destruction of their homes before being transported to Ramallah on
  the West Bank. The other project is the plan to ethnically cleanse so
 me 70,000 Bedouin from their traditional homelands in the Negev (south
 ). The displaced Bedouin are to be \"concentrated\" (in the words of t
 he Israeli government) in five exclusively-Bedouin towns.  JNF Canadaâ
 €™s continuing tax-exempt charitable status has Canadian tax payers un
 wittingly participating in the on-going eviction of Palestinian famili
 es from their homes by illegal Jewish settlers, the occupation of East
  Jerusalem, destruction of villages, orchards and productive agricultu
 ral land, and the displacement of the inhabitants.  On Sunday, June 8,
  beginning at 5 PM, a posh, black-tie dinner will be held at the Hamil
 ton Convention Centre in Hamilton to raise money for the Jewish Nation
 al Fund.   Let's show them how we feel about this with a strong picket
  in opposition.   And if you can't make it, sign the petition to deman
