 igh of US$1.63 trillion.Canada was responsible for $22.3 billion  s

 \nGiven the numerous crises facing the planet (economic, environmental
 , health, diplomatic) it is imperative that we create a global movemen
 t to shift this money to human needs. We know that there are thousands
  of organizations and millions of individuals who support this point o
 f view. We need now to begin a serious mobilizing effort to make it vi
 sible. As part of this campaign, we are organizing an event as part of
  the\nGlobal Day of Action on Military Spending\nCut global military s
 pending now!           \n\n\nWe will gather at\nThe Federal
  Building on Bay Street in Hamilton from 11.30 a.m. -2 p.m. April 17\
 nwhere we will hand out flyers, listen to the Raging Grannies and part
 icipate in Conscience Canada’s Loony Poll.  On this day, people al
 l over the world will join together in joint actions to focus public, 
 political, and media attention on the costs of military spending and t
 he need for new priorities. Such events will help us to build the inte
 rnational network around this issue.\nPlease join us on April 17 so th
 at we can make our voices heard, here in Hamilton and globally. Bring
