We promote local talent, arti sts and honour all who are making a difference.\n\nSept 4 our theme is Peace starting at 4pm to 10pm\nSept 5 Poverty Walk sign up with Fix O ur World llannigan@gmail.com starts at The Globe on McNab and Main lea ding to Pier 4 Bayfront Park for 12noon. $10 entry funds go to charity . An incredible day of music, fun interactive stations, Workshops, (ie )Briscoe Music Interactive Electronic DJ Workshop, Skateboard Park,\n\ nSept 6 This year we are teaming up with Labour Council in support of creating solutions for the job loss in our City, great bands, 2-4pm Po peyes Golden Theory Workshop and more..\n\nSept 7 with Labour Day Para de all are invited to join us in the Fix Our World Section leading to Dundurn Park, call and confirm if you want to participant. Line-up at 9:30 am Second section of parade lineup location TBA\n\nOur Events\nSe cond, along with our interactive website, we organize events, concerts and festivals where artists, musicians, organizations, schools, youth groups, clubs, local business, unite to educate our citizens through displays, workshops, guest speakers, technology, focusing on youth, ou r future generation.\n\n\nThis is also a way of honouring our communit y members who are making a difference in these areas, gaining recognit ion and support for them.\n\n\n*Raising Funds* We chose to raise funds during these events for 4 local and 4 global organizations\n\nLOCAL- Cafe Adonai, CURE Canada, Fix Our World Foundation, Christopher Clause 's Out of The Cold.\nGLOBAL- Make Poverty History, The Stephen Lewis F oundation, David Suzuki Foundation, Oxfam Canada\n\nGlobal Movement\nC hapters\nWe are reaching out to others to become a Fix Our World Chapt er and mirror our events. Each event will be linked on our Web page to show the struggles and accomplishments each area faces and achieves.\ n\n\nOur Events are annual where we will update each year the changes that have been made and where help is needed both locally and globally in an effort to Fix Our World. Lastly, we are involving local schools , groups, etc.. asking them to make a banner for the issue(s) of their choice to be signed by their staff, students, etc.. and later will be sent to the G8 Leaders at an upcoming G8 summit.
