SUMMARY:26th Annual International AIDS Candlelight Memorial
DESCRIPTION:This World AIDS Day (December 1st), the Global Health Coun
 cil unveiled the official poster and theme for the 2009 International 
 AIDS Candlelight Memorial taking place worldwide on Sunday, May 17th.\
 n\nThe Global Health Council is proud to announce the theme for the 20
 09 Candlelight Memorial: \"Together, We Are the Solution.\" The theme 
 is meant to reflect the Candlelight Memorial's mission to promote both
  global solidarity and resolution to end HIV/AIDS, and that only when 
 we work in partnership together can we see change.\n\nCoordinators are
  encouraged to use this theme in conjunction with their own local them
 es.\n\nTo officially commemorate the start of the worldwide memorials,
  FIX OUR WORLD is teaming up with Make Poverty History, the Stephen Le
 wis Foundation & CURE Canada to educate, motivate and mobilize the cit
 y of Hamilton with innovative approaches to issues surrounding the HIV
 /AIDS pandemic. In an effort to positively diversify our approach, we 
 will be sharing the experiences of several Guest Speakers, local schoo
 ls, local musicians and bands among a host of national and internation
 al guests.\n\nIt will be a special way to reach out to thousands of yo
 uth and 119 countries around the world that will also be joining us in
  celebrating this event.\n\nWe believe this will be an exceptional way
  to get the message out to the world that we are all responsible to fi
